Welcome to Bravo! the International Theatre Festival for Children and Young Audiences!
Bravo! unfolds for the young audience for its eighth year!
The international theatre festival for children and youth offers fun and adventure for both the very little ones and nearly big ones in the cultural centres of the Helsinki metropolitan area. The festival introduces a diverse selection of international children’s theatre productions. The side events/off programme include member theatre performances, a children’s jury and events for professionals.
Bravo! 2014 presents six high-class performances. Max – A Play About a Ball, a Lamp and a Car by the Swedish Teater Sagohuset is an enduring tale for the smallest members of the family. The company La Baracca-Testoni Ragazzi from Bologna unites light art and theatre in the fun show Spot which also goes for younger children. Katja Brita Lindeberg from Norway invites nursery and primary school audiences to enjoy clownery at its best with her hilarious If Only Rosa Could Do Magic. Puppetry, junk aesthetics and unorthodox beauty make The Orphan Circus by the Canadian group Les Sages Fous. En Corps (E)crits, a piece about the youth for the youth, by Compagnie ACTA from France uses live music and video to explore selfhood and otherness. The internationally acclaimed Carrasco Dance Company from Sweden thrills youngsters with their contemporary dance performance Bartolomeo full of life and energy. You can see the performance timetable here.
